In an interview with E! News, the director of both “The Adam Project” and “Deadpool 3,” Shawn Levy, suggested that he and Ryan Reynolds are keen to work with Walker Scobell again and that Wade’s interdimensional road trip movie might be the chosen gig. Praising the up-and-comer, who played Reynolds’ character’s younger self in the Netflix sci-fi comedy, the director said, “Walker is adorable because he not-so-subtly keeps sending me pictures of Deadpool. He’s very overtly giving me casting ideas.” Keeping quiet on whether the flurry of notifications was paying off, Levy added, “I’ll just say Ryan and I both adore Walker.”
It’s not like the growing star’s schedule isn’t filling up, though. Besides eyeing sharing the screen with Wade Wilson in the future, he’ll soon be getting a weekly slot on Disney+ on the long-awaited “Percy Jackson” TV series. Both Levy and Reynolds are still determined to get time in with him regardless, with the former saying, “If we can find any excuse to reunite with Walker on our Deadpool movie, we’re going to make it happen.” Could it happen over chimichangas and frantically paced F-bombs? We sure hope so.
